Houding Foundation lights up the Day of the Little Candles with hope for 30 families in Tumaco

On a night filled with symbolism, unity, and hope, the Houding Foundation made the celebration of the Day of the Little Candles possible for 30 families from the Unión Victoria neighborhood through financial support allocated to the purchase of essential aid, reaffirming its commitment to solidarity with the community.

Thanks to this support, each family received a food basket, a toy for the children, and refreshments—simple yet deeply meaningful gestures that sparked smiles and renewed hope on this very special date. The organization and delivery of the activity were led by Karen Páez, who coordinated the gathering with dedication and strong community commitment. Each delivery was designed to meet immediate needs while also reaffirming the value of dignity and community accompaniment.

During the gathering, the lit candles symbolized the light that emerges when solidarity turns into action, demonstrating how coordinated efforts allow support to reach those who need it most in a timely manner. Children, parents, and caregivers participated enthusiastically, creating an atmosphere of gratitude and hope that reflected the Foundation’s core purpose: to be present where it is most needed and to transform realities with love and commitment.

“We firmly believe that a smile can change a day, and an act of solidarity can change a life. That is why we continue working for stronger communities with greater opportunities,” the Foundation highlighted during the activity.

The Houding Foundation thus reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of families in Tumaco, promoting initiatives that strengthen the social fabric and build a better future through closeness, empathy, and collective action.

Thank you to every person and partner who made this day possible. Together, we continue lighting beacons of hope in every community we support.

San Andrés de Tumaco, Nariño
